The following document delivery services are available for obtaining books, articles and other research materials.

YALE PATRONS

Borrow Direct
Use Borrow Direct to borrow books from the libraries of Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Penn, and Princeton. Most books are available for pick up at designated Yale libraries within 4 business days. If the book you want is not available from Borrow Direct, use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) .

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to obtain books, articles, and other research materials from a large network of suppliers. Books are often available for pick up at designated Yale libraries within 2 weeks. Copies of articles can be delivered to you electronically and are often available in 1-2 weeks.

NON-YALE PATRONS

Libraries that do not have access to OCLC or similar networks, and businesses and organizations not affiliated with Yale may request loans of books and copies of articles from the Yale University Library Collections.

Individuals not affiliated with Yale may request articles directly from Yale libraries. However, loans must be requested through your local public or academic library.

REGISTRATION: REGISTRATION: This service requires a one-time registration. Even if you have requested materials from Yale in the past, please fill out this form so that we can confirm your individual or institutional information. If you are already registered, click here to login now.

LENDING CHARGES: Our standard fees for filled loan or copy requests are between $20 and $30. The cost will be stated in our response to your request and an invoice will be provided with the item.
