Deadline for Online Copyright Workshop with Siva Vaidhyanathan
Q. Are you looking for a "big picture" view for understanding
copyright law and its application in higher education?
Q. Do you need to enhance your knowledge of the conceptual
framework behind the practical copyright issues you face on a
regular basis?
Q. Would you like to step behind the legal battles and economic
interests in order to think more about the cultural values that
influence how we think and talk about copyright?
Join the Center for Intellectual Property for a lively online
workshop with cultural historian and media scholar Siva
Vaidhyanathan. In a clear, straightforward, engaging style, Dr.
Vaidhyanathan will offer insight to help untangle some of the
intricate web of culture, law, and technology. This asynchronous
online workshop is an opportunity for both the theorist and the
practitioner of copyright law and policy to explore some of the
complex issues behind the management of copyrights on campus.
