Please join us for the panel discussion: "Making the Switch from Print
to Online: Why, When, and How"
When: Sunday, June 29th, 1:30-3:30
Where: ACC (Anaheim Convention Center), Rm. 204 B
Is your library moving from a print based collection to an
increasingly online collection? Panelists will examine the
issues of switching from print to online from several different
viewpoints. Two colleagues, one from a large STM publisher and
the other from a university press, will describe the challenges
associated with maintaining both print and online formats, and
when and under what conditions they would choose to provide
e-only. Two librarians will discuss the issues and
decision-making strategies associated with dropping print and
moving to e-only.
Moderator:
Judy Luther, Informed Strategies. Judy is President of Informed
Strategies and co-author of the ARL white paper "The E-only
Tipping Point for Journals: What's Ahead in the Print to
Electronic Transition Zone."
