Re: improving the quality of peer review

Open peer review and communication had been mentioned by Joachim 
Meier  last week as the core functionality of the European 
Geosciences Union  journals.

I take the liberty to add that the respective peer-review and 
publication software is indeed publicly available to publishers 
and  academic societies. It had been developed by Copernicus 
Systems +  Technology, and an overview of the functionality can
