Description:

Please join Yale Library for refreshments and remarks celebrating the closing of the 2020-2022 Model Research Collection, Language is Everywhere: The Linguistics of Biology, Culture, and Society across Time and Space, curated by Dr. Claire Bowern, Professor of Linguistics.

The event will take place in the Selin Courtyard of Sterling Memorial Library on May 5, 2022, at 4 PM. (The rain location is the Sterling Memorial Library Lecture Hall.) No advanced registration is required.

The Model Research Collection is a curated collection housed on the Courtyard Level of Bass Library. It is meant to show the breadth and depth of the collections of Yale’s libraries through the lens of one researcher’s experience in exploring their area of inquiry. In turn, this allows novice researchers a glimpse into the collections and research process at Yale. Dr. Bowern will be speaking on the topic of 100 Years of Linguistics at Yale. You may also wish to look at the online exhibition.
