Description: 

We’ll show you the life of the mind with this Joel and Ethan Coen black-comedy classic about one writer’s descent into Hollywood hell. John Turturro leads a cast that includes John Goodman, Michael Lerner (Oscar-nominated for the role), Judy Davis, John Mahoney, Tony Shalhoub, Jon Polito, Steve Buscemi, and an uncredited Frances McDormand. Don’t miss the film Richard Schickel called gnomic, claustrophobic, hallucinatory, and just plain weird. Presented in 35mm by the Yale Film Archive with support from Paul L. Joskow ’70 M.Phil., ’72 Ph.D.
