Minority Report (Steven Spielberg, 2002, 35mm, 145 mins)

In 2054, Tom Cruise is a cop stopping crimes before they happen, until he’s ensnared by the system of psychic surveillance. Adapted from a Philip K. Dick novella, this prescient blockbuster co-stars Samantha Morton, Colin Farrell, and Max von Sydow. “Ferociously intense, furiously kinetic, it’s expressionist film noir science fiction” (David Ansen) and an “exhilarating thrill-ride into the future” (Peter Bradshaw). 35mm print from the Yale Film Archive.

The “Treasures from the Yale Film Archive” series is presented with support from Paul L. Joskow ’70 M.Phil., ’72 Ph.D.
