Unfolding Creative Practice: Two Book Artists in Conversation
Event Info

Please join us for an evening of exploration and conversation about artists’ books. In a moderated panel discussion, book artists Tia Blassingame and Maureen Cummins will discuss their creative careers and how collaboration, research, memory, and history inform and inspire their practices. Moderated by Jessica Pigza, co-curator of the Beinecke Exhibition, “Unfolding Events: Exploring Past and Present in Artists’ Books.”
In advance of the panel discussion, attendees can view a special pop-up display of artists’ books created by Tia Blassingame and Maureen Cummins, all drawn from Yale Library’s collections, in Beinecke Classroom 9 at 4 p.m.
This event is offered in conjunction with the exhibition “Unfolding Events: Exploring Past and Present in Artists‘s Books,” on view at Beinecke Library from Sept. 2 through March 1, 2026.
