The Yale University Archives seeks to collect documentation concerning the administration of, and services to support, the education of students at Yale. Specific topics of interest include:
- Rules and regulations governing academic and personal conduct
- Services provided to students, including career, academic, financial, and wellness support
- Individual student academic performance, status in the university, and fulfillment of graduation requirements
- Tuition and fees
- Scholarships, fellowships and awards
- New policy, procedure, initiative development in any of the above areas
Archival Records

- Annual reports
- Applicant pools, admitted students, and the entering student body – summaries/aggregate analysis
- Individual student academic education records (including those maintained by registrars, deans, masters, and departments)
- Lists of the recipients of scholarships, fellowships and awards

Office of record
Secretary’s Office, provosts, deans, registrars, the College Seminar Office, academic departments, and student services units maintain the record copy of documentation about academic support and services.
Admissions
The Yale University Archives seeks to collect documentation concerning student admissions at Yale. Specific topics of interest include:
- Recruitment and admission of students
- The academic record, qualifications, and cultural and geographical background of individual students who are admitted to and enter Yale
- Development and implementation of directives, policies, and procedures used to guide the recruitment and admissions processes
- New policy, procedure, initiative development in either of the above areas

- Development, and existence of teams and sports (intercollegiate, intramural, and club)
- Accomplishments of varsity teams and athletes at Yale
- Compliance with NCAA policies and standards
- Interest and involvement of Yale alumni and the local community in Yale athletics
- Role of athletics in student life
- New policy, procedure, initiative development in any of the above areas
