For Faculty and Instructors

We are here to support your research and teaching.

Connect

We can assist with literature searches, identifying relevant databases and other resources, and measuring research impact. Reach out directly to any of our librarian subject specialists. If you are not sure who to contact, request a research consultation and we will connect you to someone who can help.

Collaborate

We are happy to design and lead course-embedded library introduction sessions to help your students build information literacy through active learning and give them a starting point for papers and projects. Learn more about our instruction options and fill out the instruction request form.

We can also work with you to create hands-on learning experiences for your students using objects from Yale Library Special Collections. Learn more about teaching with Special Collections

Discover

Quicksearch is your key tool for finding all the library resources you need. It searches simultaneously across all library collections, including books, articles, electronic resources, databases, datasets, digital collections, and more. We are happy to help you and your students hone your search strategies.

Learn

We offer workshops, resources, and consultations on technical and policy aspects of research. We can support your projects throughout the research lifecycle, from writing data management plans and selecting a research data repository, to navigating open access publishing, using copyright materials, and using AI tools. Learn more.

Request

Make library resources available to your students in a specific course using Course Reserves. If you need a book, online journal, data set or other resource that Yale Library doesn’t own, submit a purchase request on our website. (Note: Please don’t use the purchase request form for Course Reserve materials.)
