In accordance with the university holiday schedule,  all Yale libraries will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in celebration of the Fourth of July holiday.

Yale ID holders can still swipe into the 24/7 Young Family Study Space in Kline Tower when Marx Library is closed.

On Monday, July 7, at 4 p.m., the Beinecke Library continues its tradition of public readings of the Declaration of Independence of July 4, 1776, and the oration by Frederick Douglass given on July 5, 1852, in Rochester, New York.

All libraries will be open as usually scheduled for the rest of the week. Before visiting any of our locations, please check the library hours.

Members of the Yale community can request materials and access licensed e-resources on our website at any time. As always, the Yale Library Digital Collections are free and open to all, and new material is being added every day.
