In Memoriam: Chief Research Archivist Judith Schiff, 1937–2022

Chief Research Archivist Judith Ann Schiff died July 11, at the age of 84. Over more than 60 years, Schiff — the university’s longest-serving staff member in recent memory — guided countless students and scholars through the library’s archival collections. Funeral services will be held at Grove Street Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, July 15 and are under the care of the Robert E. Shure and Son Funeral Home, 543 George St., New Haven, CT.  Please note: The Manuscripts and Archives Reading Room will delay opening until 1:30 pm on July 15 so that staff may attend the services.
