What better way to close out the dog days of summer than with a visit from Blue Chip Creamery’s “rolling scoop shop”?
 
Library staff eagerly queued up on York Street and at 344 Winchester to order cones and cups-to-go of favorite classic flavors: Vanilla Bean, World’s Best Chocolate, and Summer Strawberry. Blue Chip also served up a selection of its signature Chillwiches (handmade ice-cream sandwiches built with giant homemade cookies): Cookie Monstah, Thin Mint, and Hot Shot (with sprinkles, aka jimmies), to name a few.
 

Yale mascot Handsome Dan and Heidi, the university’s public safety service dog, also got to sample “pup cups” of the cool treats (with the help of their handlers Kassandra Haro ’18 and Yale Police Officer Rich Simons).
