The mission of the Donald Windham-Sandy M. Campbell Literature Prizes is to bring attention to literary achievement by providing writers with the opportunity to focus on their work independent of financial concerns. In addition to a citation and award, winners of the prizes receive an unrestricted grant of $165,000 to support their writing. The prizes were established in 2011 and are administered by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
