Over more than 60 years, Schiff guided countless students and scholars through the library’s archival collections. Funeral services will be held at Grove Street Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, July 15. The Manuscripts and Archives Reading Room will delay opening until 1:30 pm on July 15.

Yale Library staff celebrated the start of spring at a May picnic. Highlighting the event, 82 employees were recognized for their combined total of 1,160 years of service to the library.

Lynn Hanke was honored at a University Library Council (ULC) ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the Hanke Exhibition Gallery in Sterling Memorial Library, a project she and her husband, Robert Hanke ’60, made possible.

Anthony Riccio, who retired in 2020 after 23 years at collections maintenance supervisor in Sterling Memorial Library, passed away on Jan. 16. He was a photographer, historian, and generous mentor to staff and students alike.
