On Jan. 29, Yale Library welcomed representatives of the Polish government to New Haven for the formal transfer of a liturgical manuscript known as the Cistercian Collectar from the collection of the Beinecke Library.
University Librarian Barbara Rockenbach has chosen an oil painting by the American poet and essayist Louise Glück (1943–2023) as this year’s holiday card illustration. The archive offers previously inaccessible resources and new insights into the life and work of a beloved American poet. The materials will be available for use at Beinecke Library in early December.

The Yale screening of “Moi-même” on April 24 will be followed by a conversation with filmmaker Mojo Lorwin, Breuer’s son and eventual collaborator on the film. The Beinecke Library, home to Breuer’s papers, recently acquired the film’s original footage.
Submissions for three Yale Library prizes for senior essays—the Applebaum Award, Kaplan Prize, and Map Prize—are due in mid-to-late April and early May.
