Yale Library invites researchers to apply for three special collections fellowships
The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library Fellowship Program encourages research in Yale’s special collections by the broadest possible group of researchers.
July 31 is the application deadline for the short-term research fellowship, which requires that up to two months of research be conducted on site from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026.
For this fellowship, the library welcomes applications from local and international scholars who utilize traditional methods of archival and bibliographic research and also from those who wish to pursue creative, interdisciplinary, and nontraditional approaches to conducting research in the collections.
Fellowships are awarded in the amount of $5,000 per month.
The library offers two additional, longer-term fellowships—one for graduate students and one for postdoctoral scholars. The application period for each is now open.
- Research Fellowships for Graduate Students (one to four months in duration, deadline September 16, 2024)
- The Walter O. Evans Fellowship for the Study of Slavery or Race (one semester in duration, deadline January 6, 2025)
