Under the watchful gaze of Alma Mater, a section of the Sterling Memorial Library nave will be transformed into a museum-quality gallery that will showcase materials from Yale’s vast and diverse special collections. Construction began April 5 and will finish in about eight months.

Yale University Library has received its first-ever gift to establish an endowed fund to support digital preservation. The $100,000 gift comes from an anonymous 2008 graduate of Yale College, now a historian of modern warfare.

On March 22 Yale announced the eight recipients of the 2021 Windham-Campbell Prizes. The writers, whose work explores matters both personal and political, were honored for their literary achievement or promise. Each will receive $165,000 to support their work.
