Sandra Aya Enimil is the Copyright Librarian and Contracting Specialist at Yale University Library. She serves as the library’s primary contracting specialist working and chairs the library’s License Review Team to manage and maintain a consistent contract review process. Sandra is a key resource for library-related copyright questions; creates and maintains library informational materials regarding the appropriate use of copyrighted resources consistent with the university’s policies and practices. Prior to this role, she was the Copyright Services Librarian at the Ohio State University Libraries. At Ohio State, Sandra provided information and resources on using copyrighted materials and assisted creators in protecting their own copyright. Sandra collaborated with individuals and departments within the Libraries and across campus. She has also given numerous presentations on various aspects of copyright for faculty and staff at Ohio State and several other institutions. Sandra was previously the Archives/Copyright Manager of the Chicago Defender Newspaper.
Sandra earned her Law and Masters of Library and Information Science degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Ghana.
