Manuscripts and Archives Reading Room

Manuscripts and Archives Reading Room from above

Materials from Beinecke Library’s Manuscripts and Archives collections, the Yale University Archives, and Music Library Special Collections are requested for use in the Manuscripts and Archives Reading Room. Please see Using Special Collections for details on using these collections.

The reading room is located in Sterling Memorial Library at 120 High Street in the Wall Street wing, across from the Memorabilia Room and Lecture Hall. To reach the entrance, walk down the student exhibition corridor past the Selin Courtyard and the University Librarian suite. The entrance is the last door on the right before you reach the emergency exit doorway. Ask the security guards at either entrance if you’re unsure how to find the room.
