Ambre Dromgoole (MAR’17), PhD candidate in African American Studies and Religious Studies, will share the story of twentieth-century gospel songwriter Roxie Ann Moore (1916–2012). This public presentation delves into her life, contributions, and the cultures that surrounded and supported her work. The exhibit “Maker of a Kindly Permanence,” now on view in Sterling Memorial Library to celebrate Yale’s Oral History of American Music collection, also features a tribute to Moore.
