Digital Humanities Lab hosts three April workshops on effective, ethical design

In DH Foundations, an online, three-part series of workshops for graduate students, participants will explore and define the qualities that make an effective—and ethical—digital humanities project.

Through case studies and group discussion, workshop members will gain insight into the practice and the history of the field. Groups will also collaboratively build shared vocabularies for analyzing digital humanities projects and develop questions to consider when proposing their own.

The workshop is open to graduate and postdoctoral students, and no previous technical knowledge is required.

Completion of all three sessions of DH Foundations is the first requirement for completion of the Digital Humanities Certificate. The certificate program will be offered in fall semester 2023.

The workshops will be held via Zoom on the last three Thursdays in April, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is required.
