Russell serves as the strategic financial partner to the Vice Provost for Collections and Scholarly Communication. He is responsible for the delivery of financial and administrative support services to Yale University Library (including Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library), Yale University Press, Yale University Art Gallery, Yale Center for British Art, Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, and Paul Mellon Centre in London.
He oversees the direction, planning, and management of the comprehensive business affairs of the units, including management and analysis of departmental budgets, program development, information systems, human resources, staff training and development, facilities management, and regulatory compliance.
Russell earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
