Undergraduates explore Yale Library’s collection of great scientific works

Seventeen undergraduates, from Yale and beyond, visited Beinecke Library this summer to study selected works of eminent scientists of the 16th through 18th centuries.

In Memoriam: Chief Research Archivist Judith Schiff, 1937–2022

Over more than 60 years, Schiff guided countless students and scholars through the library’s archival collections. Funeral services will be held at Grove Street Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, July 15. The Manuscripts and Archives Reading Room will delay opening until 1:30 pm on July 15.

Chucho Martinez Padres ’23 awarded Senior Exhibit Fellowship

Yale Library staff celebrated the start of spring at a May picnic. Highlighting the event, 82 employees were recognized for their combined total of 1,160 years of service to the library.

Seniors win Applebaum Award for research into government materials

Yale College seniors Joelle Besch and Debbie Dada were awarded the 2022 Applebaum Award. The award recognizes these students’ excellent use of government materials from the collection of Yale Library, a designated federal depository library.
